Shenango Valley Faith Academy uses the ACE (Accelerated Christian Education) curriculum and learning center style of classroom.  For more information on ACE, Visit Here.  This style of learning focuses on individual learning speed, individual subject absorption, and equally important, thorough comprehension of the academic skill to be learned.  The academic focus is on the individual student.  In a traditional classroom if one third of the students fail a chapter, the teacher seldom (if ever) repeats the chapter to make sure that all the students learned the material.  Thusly, one third of the students proceed to the next chapter, having not learned the chapter or chapters before.  Moreover, since academics are based on building blocks, failed chapters equal holes in the child's learning foundation and thus an unbalanced education.  With the ACE style of learning, these holes are filled the moment a student enrolls.
 

Each child receives placement testing to place the student in the best educational opportunity to fill those learning gaps that are the result of missed or low scored chapters. Our Biblically based, accelerated curriculum is designed to educate children in a nontraditional classroom setting while exposing them to every facet of Christian principles and ethics. The classroom is set up in learning stations, providing each student with their own individual workspace, which they may decorate.

Each learning center is staffed with one teacher and one teacher’s assistant as needed. All of our teachers are college educated with additional professional training provided by ACE Ministries (Accelerated Christian Education), which is the provider of our curriculum. Our principal has a Masters Degree in Church Ministries and additional masters level training in counseling and executive leadership.

Specialty classes such as chapel, art, music and physical education are offered on a weekly basis. Special assemblies and field trips add to the variety of your student’s educational experience.
